Today's tip is to reduce the number of trips you take in your vehicle.
This morning my hubby put gas in our truck and it was $1.08/litre! That is rediculous!
So with a little planning and thought you can save quite alot of money by making only one trip a week out of town. Plan your menu and any sale items you want to pick up, errands you need to run, appointments etc. and schedule it all for one day of the week. Making just that one trip instead of four or five or more can save a ton of money! If you discover you need something you forgot or that suddenly comes up then perhaps just grabbing it at a local store is a better choice than wasting gas for just and item or two. Perhaps you will discover that you can wait for that item until your next weekly trip.
Even if you have to travel to another town for work you can still save money by doing your groceries and other errands while there for work anyway thus avoiding extra trips and more gas.
Car pool for your weekly trip as well, splitting gas costs and saving even more money while enjoying time with friends. ~smile~
